Everstealth is one of the newest cell phone monitoring vendor to hit the scene. I started to see their site pop up on various searches, but couldn’t find any Everstealth reviews. This led me to dig a bit deeper and I was actually a bit excited when I first started to check them out, but the more I dug into their features and price, the less enthusiastic I became.
If you’re in the market for cell phone monitoring software and are considering Everstealth, definitely take the time to read this Everstealth review. In the end, you might still decide to buy Everstealth, or you might not. The goal of this Everstealth review is to simply highlight the good, the bad, give you my opinion what I think of it, and then let you decide.
OVERVIEW
Everstealth is a spy app that is installed on any compatible phone using the phone’s built in web browser. Once installed, Everstealth will record a variety of data and transmit this data to your online Everstealth account. You then simply log on to your account using any internet connected device. Once logged in you’ll be able to view all the data that Everstealth recorded.
EVERSTEALTH FEATURES
Everstealth is loaded with all the “must have” features that should satisfy most users. However, considering how much Everstealth charges for their software, I would have expected it to at least have the same features as Flexispy (PRO-X).
- Read Text Messages – With Everstealth, every text message that is sent or received on the target phone will be logged by Everstealth. You will be able to see the date/time, sender, receiver and contents of the message. This feature will work even if the text messages are deleted.
- View Call Logs - Everstealth’s cell phone monitoring software tracks details of every incoming and outgoing call. You’ll be able to view the number the call was made to, the number the call was made from, what times the call took place and the duration of the call.
- View Contacts - Everstealth also enables you to view all the contacts stored on the target phone. As new contacts are added, they will also be recorded.
- Stealth GPS Tracking - This feature enables you to track the location of the phone using the phone’s built in GPS. Locations are then displayed on a map via your Everstealth account.
- View Photos & Videos – This will show you all the videos and photos that are snapped on the target phone.
- Read Emails - You will be able to read all emails sent or received.
- View Memos- Everstealth software will show you memos that have been created on phones.
- Remote Monitoring - Available for BlackBerry phones, this will enable you to record the surroundings of the BB phone that has Everstealth installed.
- Internet Browsing History - As the Internet is browsed, the Everstealth software will log every page that is opened.
SUPPORTED PHONES
Everstealth supports a ton of different phones. Here is a list of every phone type that is supported.
- ANDROID – As long as the phone is using the Android OS, Everstealth will work on it.
- BLACKBERRY – All BlackBerry phones are supported.
- iPHONE – Any iPhone except the new Verizon iPhone 4 is supported.
- SYMBIAN – All Symbian based phones are supported. This includes most Nokias.
- WINDOW MOBILE – All phones using Windows Mobile is supported. This does NOT include the new Win Mobile OS.
HOW MUCH?
This is where everything falls apart. Everstealth charges $99.99 for 3 the first 3 months, then $149.99 every 3 months after your initial 3 month license expires. This means you end up paying an astonishing $549.96 per year!
I understand it costs a lot of money to develop cell phone monitoring software. You have programming costs, support costs, have to buy phones to test the software one, the list goes on and on.. it’s definitely NOT cheap, but to charge $549.96 per year is a bit too much considering company such as Flexispy offer MORE features, at a far less price. In fact, if you take away the remote monitoring feature available for BB phones, Everstealth offers all the same features as Mobile Spy. How much does Mobile Spy cost? $99 per year!
THE VERDICT!
THE GOOD: Everstealth is loaded with features. In fact, Everstealth just about stands head-to-head against some of the best cell phone monitoring software on the market. This is quite impressive considering Everstealth is somewhat new to the spy phone industry. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until we see Everstealth unleash a bunch of new features that put it on par with their competitors — or even a bit on top.
THE BAD: The price. Cmon guys, how do you justify charging almost 5x the price of a product like Mobile Spy that has all the same features? Even if you add in the remote monitoring feature offered on the BB versions, Everstealth is still almost twice as expensive as Flexispy’s top of the line PRO-X version.
THE VERDICT: After reviewing Everstealth, it’s clear that Everstealth has a lot of great features that will sure satisfy most users who are in the market for spy phone software. However, just offering a lot of features is not enough to get people to buy your software, you also need to offer them a good price. Even if the price is a $10-50 bucks more, I’m sure you can justify it with offering better service and support, but when you are charging 3x-5x more than your competitors, that’s a bit too much.
Save yourself a few hundred bucks and go with a Mobile Spy (www.mobile-spy.net) annual license for only $99 (it has all the same features as Everstealth).
